On the east coast of Zanzibar there is a wonderful owner-run lodge that has been welcoming its guests for years. It is called Matlai and is located on Michamwi Beach. On a walk through the paths, cozy corners and small bomas appear everywhere. Guests can choose where they want to eat for each meal.
